Simply Extend completed this extension for a lovely family in South London, following another extension we had completed on the street. This property was suitable for a wrap-around extension, extending down the side of the property as well as from the rear. As this house was not situated within a conservation area, there were no specific restrictions that our architects had to take into account during the planning stages.
This wrap around extension had both a pitched and a flat roof on different areas of the extension. The side return section of the extension had a pitched roof, with three large skylights bringing in light. By having a pitched roof on the side area, more light can enter the new space due to the angle of the windows. The light is then directed into the room more centrally, lighting up the centre of the room as well as the side. Our architects have designed many wrap-around extensions and will know what the best design options are for you and your new space to optimise the natural light available to you.
Above this custom panel should have been another smaller panel of glazing, custom made to the pitched slope of the roof structure. However, our clients decided that they preferred the full panel of glazing, which our architects included in the revised plans. No matter how unique your property or your extension project, our architect teams can create a new space which is perfect for your needs and preferences.
The completed build of this kitchen extension is absolutely stunning. The layout and decoration is a perfect example of how an open-plan kitchen can be both homely and spacious. Our architects worked closely with our clients to revisit their plans and make alterations that our clients wanted, to ensure that their home renovation project gave them exactly what they wanted, within their budget.
