Simple Steps to a Perfect Design
Here at Simply Architects, we have a clear and simple process to help you achieve an approved set of architectural plans for your project.
Your architect will work closely with you to make your visions for your loft conversion or home extension an exciting reality. They are experienced in ensuring that your plans not only fit with your overall build budget but are approved by the relevant authorities as quickly as possible.
Let us help you to turn your exciting visions for your home into a reality as quickly as possible, avoiding any delays or unexpected costs.
1. Free Home Consultation
With one of our lead architects (approximately 1 hour).
2. Surveyor Visit
Detailed measurements taken of your home (approximately 2 hour visit).
3. First Draft Of Plans
You will receive your plans from your architect within 2 weeks.
4. Plan Submission
We will then submit your final plans (building and/or planning) to your local authorities.
5. Building Regulation Drawings
Technical drawings and structural calculations are produced.
6. Building Work Commences
You are then ready to go ahead with your build either with our sister construction company, Simply Construction Group or a builder of your own choice.
Once you appoint Simply Architects, you will be contacted by a member of the team to book in for a survey of your property. The aim of this appointment is to gather all essential measurements and data required to produce your designs.
Within two working days of this initial survey, you will be contacted by one of our architects who will begin work on a preliminary set of drawings for your proposed space, making note of any specific requirements. Please do not worry if the first set of plans require further amendments when you see them. We allow up to two sets of revisions to the design so we can achieve your perfect plan.
Once you are happy with the design you will need to approve it so our team can submit to your local council for planning approval or a certificate of lawful development (permitted development). Once the plans have been approved, work can then begin on creating building regulation drawings, which also include structural calculations. These are required for construction and building control purposes. You’ll also need to ensure your Party Wall Agreement is awarded before any work can begin.
